By Train
While Silverstone doesn't have its own train station, you can easily travel to nearby stations and then complete the journey by bus or taxi.
From London: Take a train from London Euston to Milton Keynes Central or from London Marylebone to Banbury. The journey to either station takes around 1 hour.
From Birmingham: Catch a train from Birmingham New Street to Milton Keynes Central, Banbury or Wolverton with the journey lasting about 45 minutes.
Once you arrive at either Milton Keynes Central or Banbury, you’ll need to take a bus or taxi to Silverstone. The taxi ride takes around 30 minutes from either station, making it a quick and easy option.
By Bus
After arriving at either Milton Keynes Central or Banbury Station, you can hop on a bus to complete your journey to Silverstone:
From Milton Keynes: Take the X91 bus towards Silverstone. The bus journey takes about 45 minutes and drops you off close to the Silverstone Circuit, from where it’s a short walk to the museum.
From Banbury: The Stagecoach 500 bus can take you towards Silverstone Village. Depending on the schedule, it may require a taxi for the last leg of the journey, but buses often align with major events at the circuit.
By Car
Driving to Silverstone Museum is one of the most convenient options, especially for families. Here’s how to get there by car:
From London: Take the M40 towards Birmingham. Exit at Junction 10 and follow signs for the A43 Silverstone Bypass. The journey takes around 1.5 hours, depending on traffic.
From Birmingham: Travel via the M6 South and then take the M1. Exit at Junction 15A and follow the A43 towards Silverstone. The drive should take approximately 1 hour.
From Northampton: Simply take the A43 south towards Silverstone. The journey takes around 30 minutes.
