About Quarry Park Disc Golf

Quarry Park Disc Golf is a great place to have some quirky family fun. If you have thrown a Frisbee and played some form of golf, then you are ready for some disc golf! It is easy to earn and great fun for all ages and abilities. The idea is to throw the Frisbee like disc into a basket in as few shots as possible, rather than using a club and ball to reach a hole.

This course has been especially designed so that it can be enjoyed by beginners, but will also pose a challenge for more experienced players, even those up to championship level! There is a short course with 15 holes of about 45m that is suitable for beginners, and a long course with 18 holes of about 90m for the more advanced players.

Choice of courses to suit beginners to pros

The short course has 15 holes averaging 45 metres each and is popular with families and inexperienced players. The long course has 18 holes averaging 80 to 90 metres for the experienced or more ambitious players. A typical group of 4 should complete the short course within an hour. The long course typically takes twice as long to complete a round. The long course is more scenic, including some holes by the river Avon, but there is more risk of losing discs.

20 acres of beautiful countryside

The course has a wide variety of trees, mostly planted 30 years ago, and a variety of sculptures. The long course borders the river Avon, and both course have fine views over the Avon valley. The short course has a wildflower border more than 200m long. Having a variety of habitats makes for a huge diversity of plants, birds, insects, animals and fungi. More than 60 bird species have been spotted or heard on the course over the years. 40 different types of tree.

Disc Golf Pro Shop

I think we have the biggest Pro Shop in the country with up to 1000 discs in more than 100 combinations of mold and blend of plastic. We also have soft drinks and snacks.
