About New Forest Reptile Centre
If you prefer your animals to be of the slithery and scaly kind then get down to the New Forest Reptile Centre, because there’s nothing fuzzy or fluffy here! See all of Britain’s reptiles in one place, such as adders, grass snakes, smooth snakes, lizards, frogs and toads. All of the reptiles are kept in enclosures that mimic their natural environment, which means the best chance of seeing them is on a warm sunny day!
The smooth snake and sand lizard are two of Britain’s rarest species and close to extinction. Learn all about the conservation work that happens at the centre and across the UK too. There’s also a grassy area for picnics and a 1-½ mile walk called the reptile trail through beautiful woodland.
