Meanwood Valley Urban Farm
Leeds, West YorkshireAbout Meanwood Valley Urban Farm
You don’t have to travel out to the countryside to enjoy a day at the farm. Just a couple of miles from Leeds city centre sits Meanwood Valley Urban Farm on a stunning 24-acre site.
This registered charity is committed to conservation and a fantastic place to see and learn about their animals such as the alpacas, donkeys, guinea pigs, rabbits, goats, ducks and the Whitefaced Woodland sheep that originates from the hills surrounding Yorkshire.
As well as the farm you can make the most of being out of the city by following the woodland footpaths into the meadowland, which is rich in wildlife and has three ponds to explore. The Barn Coffee Shop is open every day except Monday and serves tea, coffee, cold drinks, cake and light snacks. If the weather is warm take your own picnic, lie back on the grassy verge and listen to the sounds of nature!
