About Llanerchaeron - National Trust
Visit Llanerchaeron, a remarkable 18th-century Georgian villa that is fully self-sufficient and has not been changed in over 200 years.
Things To Do At Llanerchaeron
Find out what life in the 1790s was like - explore the rooms of Llanerchaeron and learn fascinating stories about the ladies of the house over the years. You won't see many areas that are roped off, so you'll be free to look around.
There's much more to see outside the villa, too. Set in the beautiful Aeron Valley, Llanerchaeron is surrounded by lush parklands as far as the eye can see. Take the chance to unwind with a quiet walk in the walled gardens, take in the ancient fruit trees, wander by the herbaceous borders, sit by the stunning ornamental lake and find a nice spot in the shade for a family picnic. Oh, and make sure to check out the wonderful herb garden too!
Remember we told you the villa is self-sufficient? That's because Llanerchaeron has its very own Home Farm complex. Explore the historic buildings and say hello to the animals that call this place home, including pigs, bird fowl, Llanwenog sheep, and Seren and Tomos, the 19-year-old Welsh cobs.
That's not all! Make sure you stop by the book shop and plant shop for a little spot of shopping before you leave! You'll find some absolute hidden gems in the book shop before heading to the plant shop to take a little piece of Llanerchaeron home with you!
Food and Drink
Enjoy a selection of drinks, sandwiches, light bites, cakes and, of course, Conti's famous ice cream at Conti's Cafe! Whether you want freshly ground coffee or a delicious sandwich, Conti's Cafe has something for everyone.
So, if you're looking for a super fun day out exploring nature and walking through history in a beautiful Georgian Villa, head to the National Trust's Llanerchaeron!
