Attraction Information
Drumpellier Country Park has over 500 acres to explore, plus a Visitor Centre, Peace Garden, nature trails, picnic spots and children's play areas. It is also free to visit, which makes it a great place to take the kids, whatever the season.
There are a number of different habitats to explore with the kids, including 2 lochs, lowland heath, open grassland, mixed woodland, and the Monksland Canal. The lochs and canal attract a large number of water birds, and woodland has plenty of birds and other wildlife to enjoy too, so bring your camera or binoculars! There are a great network of paths that make it easy to access the park, and many of them are suitable for prams and wheelchairs.
The Visitor centre is open throughout the year and has a reception full of displays and information leaflets about the many walks available, plus information about the natural history and varied wildlife of the park.
The Countryside Ranger service runs a varied events and activities programme throughout the year, usually on a Sunday, which is a great way to learn about their conservation work.
