Joanne from Broughton recently visited Fairytale Farm with her son Caleb. This is what she thought...
"Last weekend, I decided to treat my son, Caleb, to a day out at Fairytale Farm. With Caleb being on the autism spectrum, finding places that cater to his needs can be a challenge. However, from the moment we stepped into Fairytale Farm, I knew we had made the right choice.
The storybook-inspired entrance immediately caught Caleb’s attention, transporting him into a world of wonder and excitement. The sensory elements scattered throughout the farm were thoughtfully designed, providing him with a perfect blend of stimulation without being overwhelming. It was heartwarming to see him engage so playfully at the water channels, deeply engrossed in his own little world of water wheels and dams. The interactive features, like the talking sea horses and dancing water fountains, managed to captivate him in a way I hadn’t seen in a long time.
However, what truly stood out to me was the farm's commitment to inclusivity. Clearly marked pathways, serene environments, and a genuine understanding of children with different needs made our visit hassle-free. It’s not often that Caleb feels so at ease in new environments, but Fairytale Farm's atmosphere felt almost tailor-made for him.
During our visit, we also got to experience the Dino Valley. Seeing Caleb's eyes light up at the sight of life-sized, interactive dinosaurs was simply priceless. The staff, noticing his intrigue, approached us with gentle smiles and fun dinosaur facts, making him feel truly special.
As we wrapped up our day, enjoying a light lunch at their café, I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude. Fairytale Farm isn't just a place of entertainment; it's a sanctuary for parents and children alike, where magical memories are created, irrespective of one's abilities. As a mother, there's no greater joy than seeing your child happy, and thanks to Fairytale Farm, I have a day full of such moments etched in my heart forever."
