About Durham Climbing Centre
Durham Climbing Centre caters for every level of climber from novice to very advanced, so it's great for everyone, whatever their age and ability level. There is an Advanced area for experienced climbers and junior climbers aged 12 and older. It has a good selection of routes set in coloured circuits, which range from super easy to very hard! The Junior wall is a smaller version of the Advanced wall, but with easier problems and gentle slopes, which makes it ideal for children and beginners to start building their confidence and climbing skills. Parent and Toddler sessions are run on weekdays mornings and give little ones a chance to have a go on the Junior wall while you supervise. The Rock Stars Climbing Club is for kids aged 3 to 16 years old and runs during weekends, after school and during the school holidays. Kids are taught basic and advanced climbing techniques by a Children's climbing instructor in a social and fun environment.
