Attraction Information
Chasewater Country Park, managed by Staffordshire County Council is a parkland area with a lake and heritage steam railway. It's an excellent place to take the kids to play and enjoy a family day out. You'll have an awesome experience with lots of space, plus a number of activities for everyone to enjoy.
Things to do
Parkland
The 360 hectares is home to many wild birds and animal species, and has some rare habitats to explore. Bird hides provide a lovely spot for bird watching and seeing wildlife. The lake is a great place for the family to walk, run, or cycle around, with plenty of different waterfowl to spot and feed, including ducks and swans. Why not try a self guided circular nature walk?
There are plenty of excellent paths to use, however you and the kids choose to travel along them, and they also provide easy access for pushchairs and wheelchairs. You can also bring the dog with you, but as always, please clean up after them.
Watersports
If you are an adventurous visitor to Chasewater Country Park you might like to try a watersport activity. The lake has acres of water and is used for water skiing, wakeboarding, zorbing, donut rides, and sailing.
Chasewater Railway
Other activities often available, especially at the weekends, include the Chasewater steam railway. Both vintage steam trains and diesel trains operate at Chasewater Country Park.
