Bilston Craft Gallery is an interesting and inspiring place to take the kids, especially those who are into arts and crafts. Plus it is free to visit!
The gallery has a changing exhibition programme that features some great examples of modern craft such as jewellery, textiles, ceramics, woodwork and more. This is a great way for kids to explore how innovative makers use a number of different materials.
The gallery offers a number of chances to get involved, whatever your age, with seasonal events and creative workshops. Craftplay offers a variety of opportunities for kids, and their families, to get creative, make new friends, and discover great new ideas to try at home. There are 2 weekly groups for younger kids, one of which is great for those aged 2 and under, that give kids the chance to get hands-on with a variety of unusual materials, make dens, and discover some great messy activities!
The weekly family groups provide a number of excellent resources for kids who want to create, build and make things go, using all sorts of interesting materials. A great way to enjoy some quality family time, be inventive and stretch the imagination, for all ages!
Stay and Play sessions are held at weekends and during school holidays, and are designed for young kids up to 7 years old, but older siblings are welcome and are also sure to find something they enjoy.
