Calums Plockton Seal Trips will guide you around the harbour in comfort and give your family the chance to spot seals, dolphins and porpoises in a pleasant 1 hour sea safari aboard the Sula Mhor, which also has loos and full rain cover! Hooray! They do not take advanced bookings but it's a 60 seater vessel, so most of the time you can turn up and get right on the boat. In July and August it's naturally going to be busier so best to turn up a litre ahead and take your spot in the queue to ensure a timely ride.
It's worth the queue if there is one, not least because they're so sure (and refreshingly sincere) about giving you an active wildlife cruise that if youdon't see any seals then despite that not being their fault they'll refund your trip. Nice!
Be careful with sat nav, it's best to print out a map too in this instance apparently. Also be sure to check with them which departure point they're using: depending on the tidal behaviour it could be from the Main Pier at the end of Cooper Street or the Pontoon at the car park. Check ahead!
