Bolton Abbey
Skipton, North YorkshireAbout Bolton Abbey
Bolton Abbey is a huge 30,000-acre estate where you can take a riverside walk, discover fantastical sculptures and explore the ruins of the 12th-century Priory and the medieval Barden Tower!
The kids will love the chance to hop across the river with the 61 stepping stones! Don't worry though, grandparents and less-brave parents can use the bridge alongside instead and further upstream there are two beaches to play on.
Follow the nature trails around Strid Wood where you can also play an I-Spy game by picking up a copy from Cavendish Shop. Plus all Summer long, kids can have a crack at the Welly Walk: a long assault course where kids will be balancing, tunnelling, climbing and more!
