Situated on the shores of Loch Fyne in Argyll, against a spectacular background of mountain and forest, you will findArdkinglas House, an architectural gem, plusArdkinglas Woodland Gardens, which are open all the year round with an outstanding collection of plants and trees, including the tallest tree in Britain!
There are several lovely walks to enjoy with the kids throughout the historic Gardens and the wider estate, and it is possible to book a private tour of the House all the year round. Still occupied as a family home, Ardkinglas House has remained virtually unchanged for 100 years! A public tour is available on the second and last Friday of each month from April to October.
Not only do the gardens offer something different to see throughout the seasons, such as squirrels, numerous birds and loads of flowers, there is also a Gruffalo Trail. Who will you meet?! Fantastic family fun in the fresh air!
