American Museum & Gardens
takes you on a journey through the history of America and is the only museum of Americana outside the United States. It was founded to bring American history and cultures to the people of Britain and Europe.
The museum has lots to see and do including organising craft and object-handling events during school holidays. There is a Kids Trail through the Period Rooms, with chance to dress up as a Pilgrim, Pioneer or Cowboy, and there are interactive touch screens in the American Heritage Exhibition and Folk Art Gallery, plus lots of lawn space for running around!
