Attraction Information
A host for Harry Potter, the birthplace of photography and a Gothic ruin: Lacock Abbey, Fox Talbot Museum and Village lays claims to all these achievements, as well as all sorts of fun for families.
The site is a 13th-century abbey which has taken many guises over the years and is now yours to explore. Woodland walks and their botanic gardens would be great for a proper stomp around and, if the weather is kind, a picnic. There is also a lovely village community which welcomes visitors in for a nosy.
Now we hinted at it earlier on, but this is a bit of a celebrity hotspot with loads of famous film using the grounds for shoots. See if you can recognise where they filmed The Half-Blood Prince, or where the family of Downton Abbey had their most noteworthy showdowns. Little luvvies can even picture themselves up on the big screen as they march through the grounds!
