Rushmere Country Park, Bedfordshire
Rushmere Country Park has over 400 acres of woodland, heathland and meadows for you to explore, all under the crisp winter air! There are even some deer and foxes wandering around the park. Will you be able to spot them? Make sure to check out the Sculpture Trail where you’ll find fairy doors and a Giant’s chair. Keep an eye out for fairies too!

Horrible Histories Trail at the British Museum:
Create your very own Roman peg soldier and travel back in time to explore the Roman galleries with their time-travelling trolley. There’s so much to do, from handling objects, playing Roman games and meeting storytellers who will tell tales about those Rotten Romans!
Psstt… Claudius Terattus is in the exhibition too! Make sure to find him, he’ll tell you all about the fate you would have met as a soldier in the Roman army!
Top Tip! The British Museum has advised you to book your free-timed ticket to guarantee entry to the museum.

Rice Lane City Farm, Liverpool
Get ready to learn all about animal husbandry, farming skills and craft activities at this unique farming experience in Liverpool. There’s even an adventure playground to explore in between all of the animal activities.
They are running a Half Term playscheme where kids can meet the animals and take part in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, bug hunting and sports!
They are even offering free meals for children who are entitled to benefit-related free school meals! How amazing!
Oh, and we did mention that it’s free admission right?

Brick Wonders, South Tyneside
Did you know… the exhibition features over 500’000 LEGO Bricks?!
Vicky from @north_east_kids on Instagram said “Their standout feature for us was an impressive installation of The Great Barrier Reef. It includes intricate Lego brick replicas of various elements, such as corals, sponges, a sea turtle and a variety of other reef-dwelling sealife including a huge ray. With added sound effects it’s absolutely stunning”
Outside the exhibition space is the Brick Workshop where you can build your very own brick wonders using LEGO bricks There are also a range of fun colouring activities for children to enjoy in the children’s pod on Floor 2.

Chinese Dragon Trails – Leeds City Museum
2024 is the year of the Dragon! The Chinese Dragon is considered a divine, celestial creature, with the ability to control natural elements such as wind and water. It represents qualities like power, strength, good luck, and wisdom.
If you were born in the following years then your Zodiac animal is a Dragon: 1952, 1967, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 and 2024.
The Chinese Dragon Trail takes you around the museum to find out more about the Lunar New Year and Chinese New Year. With exciting and engaging activities to take part in, it’s a super fun way to celebrate Lunar New Year! So the only question is, which Zodiac animal are you?
