Free Events This Summer In Manchester

Kickstart your summer holiday with a trip to the beach…in the city!

There will be 50 TONNES of soft, golden sand spread out with wooden logs, spades, buckets and hours of entertainment for families all over! Build sandcastles, sit back and bask in the sun on some deck chairs!

Make sure to bring a picnic that you can enjoy on the picnic benches in bright and bold colours. Or you can head to one of the local cafes and restaurants around the Great Northern.

Best of all…it’s completely FREE! There’s no booking required either, making this one of the best free events this summer.

Grab your sunnies and hats and make your way to the Beach at Heaton Park! Not only is there a fab beach, but also a funfair! With monster trucks, a fun house and games galore to dodgems, rollercoasters and a HUGE inflatable! Including bouncy castles and more family-friendly events.

Heaton Park is the place to be if you’re looking for free events and things to do this summer in Manchester! It’s family fun wrapped up in a bow!

Don’t forget to indulge in sweet candy and moreish doughnuts, it’s the only way to end the day!

Every Wednesday to Friday throughout August, you can drop it for some free playtime!

Filled with magical music and whimsical colour, your kids can enjoy indoor and outdoor play, where they’ll explore an array of events themed around the carnival! You’ll see paintings and poems come to life – there’s something for every member of the family.

Wander through this interactive and immersive underwater kingdom and take in the beauty of these amazing creatures!

Throughout the whole summer, enjoy nothing but exciting sports at Printworks! In August, there will be a host of FREE weekly events, from interactive gaming with Remmel Dawodu and Kids Archery to Slam Dunk-a-basketball-tournaments!

Have any dino-mad kids? This is something they can roar about! In August, your kids can dig for fossils but also…make their own!! Not only that, but they can deep dive into the story of Stan the T-Rex and April the Tentontosaurus!

Think you know everything about fossils? Think again!
