About Whistling Sands
Also known as Porthor Beach or Port Oer, this great sandy beach in North Wales is a fantastic family beach, with golden-white sands and bright blue water.
Wondering why it’s called Whistling Sands? If you’re visiting on a dry day, then you may notice that the sand makes a squeaky noise when you walk on it! Once you’ve picked your spot on the shore, take in the view or go for a dip in the sea, you won’t be able to resist once you see how blue the sea is.
