A peaceful walk in nature by the river isn’t an activity you associate with Central London? Visit Walthamstow Wetlands and change that! This is the newest water reserve in the capital and it’s just 15 minutes away from the city centre.

Whether you’re up for a leisurely stroll, or you fancy taking the designated cycling route, you’ll get to enjoy fresh air and beautiful scenery along the canal. Walthamstow Wetlands is also a great place for bird watchers. Try to spot all of the Big Six - cormorants, little egrets, grey herons, shovelers, gadwalls and tufted ducks!
