Things To Do At The Eden Project
The world-famous Eden Project is nestled in a giant 50-metre deep crater the size of 30 football pitches - cor blimey! It forms the centrepiece of a spectacular global garden. Explore 20-acres of outdoor gardens, indoor rainforests, and gigantic covered Biomes.
The Biomes
At the Eden Project, you can take your kids around the world, from the Mediterranean to the rainforest, without leaving the UK. They’ll love Eden’s space-age Biomes, weird and wonderful plants, intriguing artworks and inventive play spaces. Including Nature’s Playground, Eden’s spectacular adventure play area, brimming with imaginative, sensory play.
Kids of all ages find a day out at Eden fun and thought-provoking. On their Eden adventure, they'll connect with nature in new and surprising ways, from walking through rainforest clouds to clambering in our massive Minibeast Mansion, and they'll gain inspiration and practical tips on how to look after our beautiful planet.
Then explore the Mediterranean Biome, where you'll see, smell and hear stories about the natural environment in the Mediterranean, California, South Africa and West Australia! Dive deep into an electric experience as you explore a paradise of colourful flowers and flourishing and arid plants. Learn about the plants that you see day to day as well as the weird and the wacky in places you've never been to! Appreciate the beauty of the natural world, learn about the relationships between plants and how we have a dependence on plant life as they all contribute to this beautiful ecosystem!
The Core - Education Centre
The Core, Eden's Education Centre, is home to the Seed, a sculpture made from a single piece of granite that weighs as much as ten elephants. The Core is also the place to see exhibitions that show the importance of the world of plants as well as different films, talks and children's workshops.
Play Areas
There are various play areas around the site. Eden have created inspirational spaces for kids, as outdoor play can improve health, imagination, cognitive skills and self-esteem. Play areas include the Minibeast Mansion and Nature’s Playground, opened in 2023 – a spectacular natural adventure play area brimming with imaginative, sensory play. Its bespoke design and joyful handcrafted details makes for a play experience like no other.
Family Fun Activities
There are also a variety of exciting activities on offer, with ice skating through the winter as well as exciting events throughout the year to celebrate the seasons.

By Car:
The Eden Project Cornwall has FREE PARKING - whoop! There are lots of car park spaces to choose from and visitors are welcome to park their motorhomes or campervans in the car park too. Large vehicles can be accommodated in the coach car park if need be. The best postcode to use for your Sat nav is PL24 2SG. You cannot park overnight.
There are also three fast electric vehicle charging points (7.2kW) in the Banana car park, which are free of charge for visitors to use and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
By Bus:

By Train:
If you are travelling via train you'll be glad to know the Eden Project is just a few miles from St Austell train station - this is on the main line from London Paddington. You can also catch the train to Luxulyan, Bugle or Par, for a more scenic journey or to continue your trip on foot or bike.
