Splatz Activity Cafe
Dunbar, Edinburgh and LothianAbout Splatz Activity Cafe
Splatz Activity Cafe is more than just a cafe. We have a 2 tier soft play suitable for young children under 8 years. On the top tier are the sneaky hanging snakes... Swing on them or battle with them, it's up to you! Explore the tunnels and climb through the spider's web to access the slide where you can reach supersonic speeds if you're wearing the right clothing. Long sleeves are recommended. It is not for the faint hearted and to get up there kids must be tall enough to climb over a particular parapet on the ground floor: please don't help the kids get over it, it's to filter out the ones too small to use the mega slide!
. If it is raining this is the ideal place to keep your children amused. If the weather is good it is the perfect place for lunch or snacks. Older children and adults can paint pottery and make personalised gifts. Ipad hire is available for those who need internet access or want to play on the many gaming apps. A sure thing to keep older children interested. Good food you can eat without worrying about your children sitting at peace. It's a children's cafe where adults are welcome. No kids? Don't worry we won't throw you out. We are happy to see cyclists, walkers, holiday makers and pensioners. We just can't guarantee peace and quiet, only good food and great coffee!
At Splatz we have a buggy parking area in the shop entrance. Buggies are allowed in the cafe if they contain sleeping children.
