Attraction Information
At the Pottery Cafe you can decorate your own beautiful pottery, supplied exclusively by Emma Bridgewater, in the friendly and relaxed pottery studio where plenty of help is on hand. They have a vast range of hand-cut decorating sponges featuring everything from dinosaurs to flowers, ladybirds to stars and fairies, so there's no need to be an artist!
During the school holidays they always run themed activities specifically aimed at entertaining children. Pottery Cafe display examples of decorated pottery to inspire the kids' creative side and they have theme specific decorating sponges available for their use. The Pottery Cafe is an excellent venue for having fun with the kids on a bored afternoon in the school holidays! Or any other time, come to think of it!
Why not capture your baby's tiny footprints on pottery as a personal memento or even a special gift for grandparents or godparents? You can visit any day of the week of course but on Babies' Wednesdays every parent painting a baby's footprints onto pottery receives a free tea or coffee!
Items from the extensive range available start from as little as £7 plus a studio fee of £6 per person - which covers materials, assistance in the studio, decorating sponges, as well as glazing and firing!
