Attraction Information
The National Lobster Hatchery is a marine conservation, research and education charity with a modern Visitors' Centre where, through smart interactive displays, you and the kids can learn all about the importance of sustainability and responsible marine management. It's very educational but also pleasing to just wander around if the kids are too young to be taking it all in: so good for all ages!
The kids will certainly remember coming up close with young lobsters, as well as a resident giant lobster and Edible and some creepy but amazing Spider Crabs! If the kids are endeared toward these cool crustaceans then why not look into adopting a lobster and using some pocket money to help sponsor their conservation and research work.
The Little Shop of Lobsters is worth a look too and offers a diverse range of sealife related goods and you can adopt your very own lobster for just £5.00! They're on the quayside next to Padstow's main car and coach park. Their site has level access and is wheelchair friendly throughout, plus there's a stair lift, disabled facilities and a hearing loop.
