Attraction Information
Clare Park is Maidstone's first Green Flag awarded green space and with good reason: there are well landscaped swathes and mature scenic woodland with hard footpaths to help families explore them, plus handy public toilets and benches scattered about.
Although fairly small, it holds numerous facilities, including tennis courts and a multi purpose games area and is an ideal place to take a gentle stroll with the pushchair or to sit and enjoy a picnic and some traditional family games. There are conservation areas in the park which provide habitats for wildlife too so there are loads of mini beasts about to spot. For future reference the southern end of the site is being converted into a mini nature reserve for younger children !
The Children's Play Area features main and toddler swings, several slides and other equipment, a novelty springer and a spider climb. Enough to keep your under 7s happy but best to bring bats, balls, Frisbees and whatnot for the others!
