Discover Your Family’s Next Great Adventure – Right Here in Birmingham!
Welcome to Ackers Adventure, a sprawling 75-acre hidden gem just two miles from Birmingham city centre. As a registered charity, we believe the outdoors should be for everyone. We provide a supportive, inclusive environment where children build real-world confidence, led by expert instructors who are all fully DBS checked.
Flexible Family Fun: Just Turn Up!
We know life is busy, so we offer activities that fit your schedule. Our Disc Golf course is perfect for the whole family; it’s easy to learn, great exercise, and best of all, there is no instructor needed—just turn up and play! Don’t miss our seasonal highlights like the Easter Disc Golf Trail, a themed way to explore our massive site with the kids.
Exciting Clubs & Holiday Solutions
We are here to support parents year-round with structured, high-energy programs:
Penguins (Levels 1 & 2): The perfect starting point for our youngest adventurers (ages 4–7) to find their "ski legs" in a fun, nursery-style environment.
After School Ski Club: The perfect way to burn off energy and master the slopes after a day in the classroom.
Holiday Scheme: Our popular 1-day holiday club is a lifesaver for busy parents, offering a full day of supervised adventure.
Ackers 360 Adventure: The ultimate 5-day outdoor experience for ages 8–12! This all-inclusive, Monday to Friday non-residential programme is packed with the very best of Ackers. Under expert supervision, kids will enjoy skiing, climbing, canoeing, bell boating, kayaking, archery, tubing, disc golf, bushcraft, zip wire, and team building. It’s a week of making new friends and creating lasting memories with every detail taken care of by our qualified team.
Family Activity Lessons: Learn a new skill together! These sessions are designed for parents and children to progress as a team.
Inclusivity at Our Heart: SEND Sessions
At Ackers, we are proud of our inclusive mission. We offer a fun group session specifically for SEND children aged 6-18. Every two weeks, we host a variety of adventurous activities tailored to SEND children, ensuring everyone has the chance to challenge themselves and have fun in a safe, understanding environment.
Unbeatable Variety: From the Slopes to the Water
With 75 acres, our "menu" of activities is unmatched in the West Midlands:
Snow Sports: Fly down our 100-metre slope with Skiing, Snowboarding, Tobogganing, and Tubing.
Water Wonders: Head to the canal to paddle, canoe, or kayak with the whole family.
Heights & Targets: Try your hand at climbing, abseiling, archery, or the thrilling Tower Drop.
Family Adventure Days: The perfect "taster" experience to try a mix of land and water sports in one visit.
