Solve The Medusa Mystery at The Roman Baths

family reading medusa book in the roman baths
This year, prepare for a scarily good half-term Halloween event in Bath! Partnering up with the new book Auntie Medusa and Me by Marie Basting, they’re bringing not one, but TWO fang-tastic time-travelling trails this autumn! Not to mention an exclusive book reading by the author, too!

There’s the Snake Seeker Halloween trail for younger kids and the Medusa Mystery for the older kids!

The amazing book is about Silvia, who was just an ordinary kid before she wound up in ancient Rome and found out that she was a demi-goddess! And if that wasn’t enough, now the gorgon Medusa wants her head back – and she has chosen Silvia to find it!

This October half term, it’s time for the kiddies to join Silvia on a mythic family quest through the Roman Baths. Become a Snake Seeker and look out for squiggly snakes. Can you draw Medusa’s hair? Or solve the Medusa Mystery by searching for snakes and spelling the mystery word.

The Halloween trails are filled with fun facts, mythic monsters, and a legendary Goddess or two… And are sure to make your next family day out one to remember! The trails are included in Roman Baths admission, and available to pick up near the ticket desk.

Both trails are developed in partnership with the new book ‘Auntie Medusa and Me’ by Marie Basting, published by Chicken House Books. Illustrations by Flavia Sorrentino.
