About Windsor Duck Tours

Explore Windsor by Road and River on an Unforgettable 1-Hour Duck Tour

Get ready to discover the magic of Windsor like never before—by both land and water—on a truly unique, 1-hour amphibious Duck Tour. Climb aboard an authentic “duck” boat for an unforgettable sightseeing journey that combines iconic landmarks, rich local history, and a splash of fun, all in one exciting experience. Whether you're planning a family day out, a romantic date, or a memorable activity with friends, Windsor Duck Tours offers an adventure that’s both educational and wildly entertaining.

Choose from two different tour options to suit your pace and preference. Each tour is expertly guided by a friendly and knowledgeable team, including a live guide and a professional skipper. With live commentary packed full of interesting facts, fascinating anecdotes, and plenty of humour, you'll come away knowing more about Windsor's royal history, quirky traditions, and charming riverside culture.

Discover Windsor: Road Tour, River Splash and Unforgettable Family Fun

Windsor Duck Tours is no ordinary sightseeing trip – it’s an adventure that rolls through town and sails down the river, all without changing seats! Our specially adapted amphibious vehicle starts the tour on the streets of historic Windsor, taking families past iconic sights like Windsor Castle, Eton College, and the Long Walk.

Then comes the exciting part – we splash straight into the River Thames for a cruise with incredible views and a whole new perspective on the town. Kids love the thrill of going from road to river, and parents appreciate the fun yet informative live commentary from our friendly guides.

This unforgettable experience gives families a full tour of Windsor from both land and water – something no other attraction offers. It’s fun, safe, educational, and perfect for all ages, especially curious kids aged 3+.

If you're looking for something totally different to do as a family, Windsor Duck Tours is the ultimate way to explore this royal town.

A Splash of Fun with Royal Views!

Looking for a way to entertain the kids while soaking up some royal history? Windsor Duck Tours offers the best of both worlds – family-friendly fun mixed with fascinating facts, all from the comfort of a quirky amphibious vehicle!

See famous landmarks like Windsor Castle, Eton College, and the charming town centre, with engaging commentary that keeps kids entertained and adults informed. The real magic moment? When the vehicle transforms from bus to boat and drives straight into the River Thames!

It’s the perfect mix of education and adventure – whether your little ones are into castles, rivers, boats, or just the thrill of something different. There are plenty of great photo ops, and the tour is short enough to keep even young children engaged without restlessness.

Parents love it because it’s stress-free, safe, and well-organised. Kids love it because it’s just plain cool.

A fun splash and royal views? Now that’s a great day out.

Live Commentary That Keeps Kids Laughing and Learning

At Windsor Duck Tours, it’s not just the vehicle that’s special — it’s the people on board too! Our tours are brought to life by entertaining, knowledgeable guides who know how to make history fun for kids and grown-ups alike.

From fun facts about Windsor Castle to quirky tales of local legends, our guides keep everyone engaged with lively storytelling, jokes, and interactive moments. Kids stay curious, parents stay relaxed, and everyone walks away having learned something new — often without even realizing it.

It’s not a stuffy history tour – it’s a family-friendly experience that feels more like a performance than a lecture. Our guides tailor their commentary to suit a range of ages and attention spans, so whether you’ve got toddlers or tweens, everyone stays entertained.

Expect laughs, “wow” moments, and plenty of photo opportunities as your guide narrates your journey from land to river and back again.

Looking for something that’s more than just a ride? Windsor Duck Tours delivers personality, knowledge, and fun in every seat.

Transport Information

Windsor has two train stations both very close to our Duck Stop as well as fantastic bus connections meaning public transport is the easiest way to reach us.

If you are planning on driving to Windsor, you will of course, need somewhere to park. In peak season this can be a real challenge.

We highly recommend researching a couple of fall back options in case you don’t land a spot in your ‘first choice’ car park. The walk from our recommended car park to The Duck Stop borders The Home Park and is a lovely way to start your trip to Windsor.
