General Admission

    Please note there is a £3 per painter studio fee for pottery painting, which covers paints and gloss. Craft items are individually priced, and you can browse our full menu on the table to choose your favourites on the day. We also serve a range of hot and cold drinks, plus light snacks such as muffins and brownies, which you can purchase, so you can relax and refuel while you create.

    You’ll find The Crafty Beanie tucked away at 13 Market Row, Saffron Walden, just a few steps from the Market Square. Look out for our colourful window displays and Beanie the mascot in his red hat – you can’t miss him! Parking is available nearby at Waitrose Car Park (5 minutes’ walk) or Common Car Park (8 minutes’ walk). We’re also just around the corner from Saffron Walden Library and Town Hall, making us easy to visit as part of a family day out in town. If you’re using a sat nav, our postcode is CB10 1HQ. Market Row is a pedestrian cut-through, so once you’re nearby, just follow the signs to the Market and look for our cheerful craft studio.

    Transport Information

    Saffron Walden is well connected by bus, with regular services from Cambridge, Audley End and surrounding villages stopping at Saffron Walden High Street, just a short 2–3 minute walk from The Crafty Beanie (13 Market Row).

    The nearest train station is Audley End, which has direct links to London Liverpool Street and Cambridge. From the station, it’s a 10-minute taxi ride or a regular bus service into Saffron Walden town centre.

    Once in town, simply head towards the Market Square and you’ll find Market Row tucked just behind the main shops – look out for our colourful window displays!
