About Preston Park
Boasting one of Preston's largest adventure playgrounds, Preston Park is also the largest urban park in the city so however sunny it is there's room for your lot in there somewhere! Some of the many facilities provided for family leisure here include a terrific adventure playground, 4 football pitches and 2 cricket fields. There are also 3 traditional bowling greens open to the public on a pay and play basis, plus 8 full size tennis courts, cool softball pitch and a 500m velodrome so be sure to bring your wheels! Other family friendly features dotted about include two cafes, modern public toilets and there are nearby health walks too. Plus in summer particularly there are concerts, circuses, fairs, family days and other events regularly held here that are well worth keeping an eye out for! Once they're played out and ready to just look around, the Walled and Rose Gardens are very interesting, as is the rockery area. You can also visit Preston Manor but this is managed separately.
