On the edge of the Old Leigh near Southend-on-Sea is the picturesque town Leigh-on-Sea. Small in size but large in character with the ambience of a traditional fishing village, renowned for its cobbled streets, fresh fish, cafes and cockle boat and famous cockle sheds! There's plenty of attractions to enjoy here too!
Things To Do for families

The sandy beach itself is perfect for long walks as it stretches up to seven miles and, of course, it provides acres of space for games and sandcastle building under the sea air. Take a stroll through the busy fishing port and even higher out a fishing boat for the day! You can can take all kinds of fascinating boat trips from seal watching to boarding a jet stream boat!
