Innisfallen Island
Killarney, County KerryAbout Innisfallen Island
This beautiful island can be seen from the distance at Ross Castle but to really explore the wonders of this mystical place get aboard a boat and see for yourself!
Located within Killarney Park you may have explored Ross Castle and Reen Piers before but you won’t have seen this 12th-century island, where time truly has stood still. Climb onto one of the boat trips leaving from the castle and the pier to see the ruins of the old Augustinian Priory.
Make sure you don’t miss the small Romanesque church where the early Irish history was once written, there’s nowhere better to discover old Ireland. You’ll feel as though you’re on a private island as the trees shield you from the outside world.
