The nearest train station to Hillsborough Castle is Lisburn Station, which is approximately 6 miles away. From Lisburn Station, you can take a taxi or connect with a bus service to Hillsborough village. Regular trains run from Belfast, Newry, and other parts of Northern Ireland to Lisburn.

By Bus

Hillsborough Castle is well-served by local bus routes. From Belfast, hop on the Translink 238 service heading to Banbridge or Newry. The bus stops at Hillsborough village, just a short walk from the castle entrance. Check the Translink website for up-to-date schedules and ticket information.

By Car

Hillsborough Castle and Gardens is conveniently located just off the A1 dual carriageway, making it easily accessible from Belfast (20 minutes) and Dublin (90 minutes). If you're using a sat nav, enter the postcode BT26 6AG. Ample parking is available on-site, with dedicated spaces for families and disabled visitors.
