Avoniel on Avoniel Road in East Belfast has become the go-to spot for football and active fun since its £8 million redevelopment opened in 2021. There are seven outdoor 3G pitches ranging from 5-a-side to a full-size intermediate pitch, a covered Sports Pavilion with 240 seats for spectators, plus table tennis and studios running yoga, Pilates and dance fitness. The centre hosts the LFC Foundation football programme and is known locally for its excellent birthday party provision, making it a great choice for football-mad kids and family celebrations alike.
