Gym Jams Soft Play
Guildford, SurreyAbout Gym Jams Soft Play
Gym Jams is a traditional style soft play exclusively for babies and toddlers. Providing a clean and safe environment for little ones aged 0-3 years to explore at their own pace, learning to crawl, toddle and climb under and over the equipment. It is a fantastic facility that teaches socialising and sharing which has proved a massive hit to all.
Open every Wednesday and Friday with four sessions each day, plus there are ad hoc weekends dates available each month too. Availability of sessions can be found on the online booking system.
There is unlimited squash or water available for little ones, so remember to bring their cups, plus a Rich Tea biscuit so they can enjoy a little refreshment once they have burned off all that energy. Parents are welcome to bring food in with them for the children if their visit falls over their meal time.
This welcoming venue gives the grown-ups a chance to relax away from home with other adults. Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Childminders can enjoy a cuppa, with the opportunity to chat and make new friends, and many grown-ups look forward to it as much as the children do. The range of drinks to choose from is vast, and each comes with a chocolate biscuit - and best of all, your first drink is provided at no additional charge.
Set in the beautiful village or Normandy, with good road and railway access (Wanborough Station), Gym Jams is situated on an area of land known as Manor Fruit Farm. The 30 acre site has been set aside for community recreation and is home to a playground, an outside gym and a trim trail, aswell as the community shop and cafe, picnic area, therapy garden, peace garden, bowls club and archery club. Plenty to explore on your visit!
One aspect that makes Gym Jams unique is their support for poorly children, offering free sessions for toddlers who are immunocompromised, or who struggle with special educational needs or disabilities. The health and wellbeing of our children is of paramount importance to all parents, but unfortunately not all children enjoy good health. Play in the preschool years enables children to explore and make sense of the world around them. Gym Jams wants to ensure the importance of play is recognised and valued, and are passionate about advocating for children’s’ right to play, especially for those who face barriers to access such as ill health. They are keen to support families who are facing difficult health journeys, by offering the opportunity for little ones who are clinically vulnerable or immunocompromised to enjoy the soft play first thing in the morning before the other children arrive, free of charge. The equipment will have had a full clean ready for the day ahead and the child will have exclusive use of the facilities. As always, anyone with an infectious illness or gastric upset should not attend.
Gym Jams has been run by the Pick family since 2005, who have a host of expertise in child development, children's play and health and safety. With this soft play you will be in very safe hands.
