Whether you're new to climbing, bringing along little adventurers, or you're a seasoned climber looking to push your limits, Flashpoint Cardiff has something for everyone.
One of the standout features of Flashpoint Cardiff is the dedicated "Den" and Kid's Boulders. We've designed this fun and whimsical space specifically for younger climbers, with lower-height boulders and special low-reach holds. The Den even has a slide for kids to exit in style! This area is perfect for beginners and younger climbers who want to build confidence and skill in a safe, welcoming environment. Plus, because of the Den, we can accommodate kids of all ages, while most other centres have a minimum age requirement of 7. Flashpoint Cardiff is perfect for families who want to enjoy climbing together.
We’ve built a whole room for small crushers to enjoy lower-height boulders fun and whimsical holds, explore the special low-reach blocs, and leave it via a slide! Kids are welcome to climb through the rest of the centre, but this area is perfect for beginners and the littlest adventures. Because of our “Den” we can accommodate kids of all ages, so long as the littlest ones are supervised, whereas lots of our other centres have a minimum age of 7.
Expert coaches, brilliant facilities, free shoe hire and unlimited climbing access to all our centres for club members! Our clubs follow NICAS, a UK-wide scheme designed to promote climbing development and accredit individual achievement on artificial climbing structures. It's the best starting point for people wishing to take up climbing and mountaineering, from novice to experienced, starting from age 4.
We’ve got a huge selection of walls to choose from and try out. In addition to our kid's room, the whole upstairs is dedicated to shorter-reach climbers. On top of this, we have long sweeping sections of slab climbing to perfect your balance and footwork on, as well as massive overhangs, steep roofs and our adjustable kilter board for powerful explosive climbing. We’ve also got a top-out area to practice mantles and getting on top of “actual” boulders. For those wanting more endurance and pump, we’ve got a large freestanding auto-belay tower with loads of routes and an impressive stepped roof we call the “mega roof” You’ll understand why when you see it.
In short, there's plenty for everyone - and with regular resets, you’ll never get bored or run out of new problems to climb!
