Attraction Information
Cairngorm Sleddog Centre is the only daily working sleddog centre in the UK (and one of only 5 in Europe!), offering a truly unique experience for any adventurous family with over 12s.
The centre is open throughout the year, and although snow is great, it's not essential for the dogs to run as there are 18 miles (and 4 different routes) of purpose built dry land sleedog trails to use. You will get a chance to meet the sleddogs (there are more than 30 of them!), learn about their training and history, plus discover more about the sport. There is also a small museum full of interesting information, including a 1 hour video, to add to the experience.
The trips and safaris offer a chance to get hands on with the dogs before you sit in the comfortable Sleddog buggy and get a chance to experience the pawsome thrill and power of a sleddog team! There are amazing views to enjoy along the way, including the spectacular Cairngorn mountains and more, where you may be able to see the herds of red deer that roam in the wild. Floodlight night trips are also available. Make sure you bring your camera or camcorder to record this special day!
The centre does not provide warm or waterproof gear, so make sure you dress accordingly. Maximum of 8 per group and a weight restriction of 15 stone (95.3kg) per person. No under 12s.
