Bognor Museum
About Bognor Museum
At the Bognor Museum find out more of the history of early Bognor, when Sir Richard Hotham set about transforming a small fishing village into a fashionable seaside resort.
Almost every aspect of charming Bognor's history is represented, from the collection of rocks and fossils which are millions of years old, to the local history before the town was founded and through to the present day.
Exhibits include displays of vintage cameras, a recreatedVictorian kitchen and the story of a local entrepreneur. Plus the Ron Simpson Wireless Collection is named after an old Museum Curator who bequeathed his passion for old radios and his own extensive collection to the Museum.
There are also some cool scale models of the Esplanade theatre and the Southdowns Art Deco Bus Station which children will enjoy viewing. All in all it's a very educational trip, so follow it up with something more lively to reward their attention!
