Wildlife Area
At Avon Heath Country Park there are all sorts of wildlife living here and who call it home. Check out the bird hide in the small woodland where you try to spot woodpeckers goldfinches, robins, wagtails and more! You'll also find a large pond, wood piles, and bumble bees buzzing around.
BUT guess what? There's a Sand Lizard enclosure! These rare sand lizards like to bask in the sun on logs during the spring and summer (if you're lucky you might spot one!).
Walking Trails
It's time to get active and enjoy the outside at Avon Heath Country Park! With acres of heathland to explore, there's plenty of nature to discover. From pine trees and the birch woodland to the abundant wildlife!
Embark on the Sensory Trail where you can walk 0.5km and engage all your senses! Take a gentle stroll on the Short Wander, where you'll pass open heathland and a tree-lined path. What's that? Oh, just the tweeting of your feathered friends. As you enjoy a walk, you can also experience bird song from all around. It's the perfect outdoor experience.

Do the kids need some time to burn off their excess energy? At Avon Heath Country Park, you can make your way to the amazing play park where you'll find an outdoor tree house to climb, zip wires to zoom down, a sand pit to play in and even a giant climbing wall!
