The Audley End Miniature Railway is a delightful 1.5 mile ride on Lord Braybrooke's private 10 and a quarter inch gauge railway through Estate woodland. A chambering ride for all ages to enjoy, great for taking grandparents along as well as the kids.
The children all enjoy looking out for the teddies that live in the woods, so keep 'em peeled! Try to find the tiny Fairies and Elves in their cute little Tree Houses as you stroll through the Enchanted Woods, plus you can make a Fairy Wand or Magic Stick with one of Audley End's own Fairy or Elf helper! There's also an I Spy Booklet to complete as you venture through the walk. Meanwhile the adults are reminded of a nostalgic era, especially on Saturdays and Sundays when they usually haul the carriages with a steam engine.
There's a play area and a picnic area too, which are both supplemented with additional bits and bobs like a bouncy castle, Swing Boats and a Vintage Roundabout during their school holiday functions, so keep an eye out through the link for special occasions coming up!
There's a disabled parking area next to the station platform, disabled access toilets and a disabled carriage with room for one wheelchair. Cafe and shop are also available on site for refreshments and souvenirs.
