Summer is *finally* here and nothing screams ‘summertime’ than a visit to a spectacular Splash Park! So… cossies and swimshorts at the ready, as we’ve got your guide to the best Splash Parks and Splash Pads across the UK. Featuring interactive sprinklers, fountains, jets and much more, they're the coolest place to cool off this summer! Plus, many of them are FREE too – just don’t forget some change for those all-important ice creams! Dive on in and check out our winning water playground guide…

  1. Happy Mount Park, Lancashire

Found on the picturesque Morecambe Promenade, Happy Mount Park is a family fun day out bursting with loads of different activities. The splash park is full of interactive sprinklers and other water activities all powered by movement, so the more your kids explore, the wetter they’ll get! There are four sessions a day to ensure it doesn’t get too crowded, so head to the park kiosk when you arrive to book your slot.

  2. Cassiobury Park, Watford

Have a splashing time at the refurbished paddling pools in Cassiobury Park, with loads of water-based fun to be had! Water splash fountains, jets and paddling pools provide something for all ages to enjoy, and interactive push buttons allow kids to control the water flow themselves. It’s also home to  Changing Places facilities too, making it a fully accessible day out too.

It’s free to enter, but just remember to bring some change for car parking - and maybe even an ice cream too!

  5. Gulliver’s Splash Zone, Milton Keynes & Warrington

Splash pads are often found outside, making them great for sunny days out, but Gulliver’s Splash Zone brings all the fun of a splash park indoors to enjoy all year round! With sprays, streams and super slides, the zone is heated to the perfect temperature, allowing the whole family to enjoy a splashtastic water day out whatever the weather.

  6. Dippy’s Splash Zone at ROARR Dinosaur Adventure, Norfolk

Just one zone within the ultimate dino day out that is ROARR Dinosaur Adventure, Dippy’s Splash Zone is themed in purple and yellow, with 31 water play features to explore. Home to tipping buckets, spraying showers and loads more, it’s a must-see if you’re visiting on a sunny day!

With 33 features and fountains, kids will love exploring the jets, buckets and tunnels - kids from local primary schools even had the chance to have their say on the design before it was built! Known for its amazing indoor soft play area, did you know that Bubbles World of Play is also home to a fantastic outdoor splash park? With a separate entrance on the promenade, and with its own entry prices too, it’s run alongside the soft play centre, rather than as a package. With loads of interactive pressure points to get the water spraying, squirting and more, there’s also a pirate ship that kids will love exploring! Surrounded by picnic tables, and with one table allocated per family, it’s a great sun spot right next to the New Brighton beach!
