Alton Towers Fastrack FAQs

What is the Fast Track system?

A fast track system is used to offer people a quicker and more effective route. In theme parks you pay for fast track passes to skip past the queues on selected rides and to save you waiting around for hours. People like fast track passes as you can get more out of your theme park day out, going on every ride you want a lot quicker!

However, you have to pay an extra amount of money on top of your entry ticket as it is not included.

Can I buy fast track at Alton Towers on the day?

Fast tracks are available to purchase on the day from the Resort Box Office or Information booths around the park. But they will be more expensive then they are if you pay online.

How long are fast track queues at Alton Towers?

The average wait time during peak times at Alton Towers is 30-60 minutes per ride. With the Platinum Pass, you head back down that fast track queue and hop back on in 5-10 minutes or less.

Can you share an Alton Towers fast track pass?

Yes, you can give your fast track ticket to a friend if they want to ride a rollercoaster you don’t.

Just remember that once it’s been used on a ride, it can’t be used on the same one again unless you get the Platinum Pass.

Is the Alton Towers fast track worth it?

Alton Towers is a brilliant day out, so if you want to make the most of it, Alton Towers fast track passes are worth it.

Although, if you visit Alton Towers on off-peak dates, like during term time on a weekday, the theme park will also be a lot quieter. But that does mean taking your child out of school, which we do not recommend.

So what do you think? Are Alton Towers fast track passes for you? Beat the queues and make the most of theme park day out at Alton Towers. As there are different pass prices, you can easily tailor which experience you prefer!
