Theatre Hullabaloo is a pioneering organisation that makes, tours & promotes theatre for young audiences, aged 0 – 16 years old, because we believe that they are the most important audience of all.

Although The Hullabaloo does not have a car park there are short and long stay off street car parks close by to the venue. There's also 2hr parking bays on the local side streets.

Situated on Borough Road, adjacent to Darlington Hippodrome, it is a special venue for children and families and an exciting place to play and learn. At The Hullabaloo, you will find world-class theatre made specially for children including brilliant shows for babies and toddlers; free Creative Play storytelling, family events and much more. Our venue is relaxed, informal and accessible. We have a family-friendly café, story corner and an outdoor space to play in. We are accessed on ground level and have wheelchair spaces in our theatre and Creative Play. You can leave your prams in our secure buggy park.

As well as a brilliant range of shows we create unique play experiences that often available for children and grown-ups to play in for free.

We host sensory creative play installations, arts and crafts, wonderful theatre shows and so much more! We programme theatre shows for ages 0+, meaning there truly is something for everyone here at The Hullabaloo! We love presenting so much more than shows, meaning you could spend a whole day out with us, engaging in all we have to offer. The Hullabaloo also has a cafè space which is bright, warm and welcoming, so you can stop for a drink and a snack after playing!
