About Saundersfoot Beach
Saundersfoot Beach has several Blue Flagged beaches along the bay, each with its own distinctive charm. Saundersfoot main beach sits in front of the apartments and cafes of The Strand, alongside the harbour which is packed all year round with fishing, sailing, and power boating.
The beach is wide and sandy with sheltered, shallow waters that offer good swimming and facilities for water sports. It's a very attractive spot for a family 'bucket and spade' day out.
Coppet Hall beach in the north is actually accessed via a tunnel that used to transport coal, and it's smaller and more secluded than the main beach, with rocky pools at low tides. It's a popular spot for windsurfing, kayaking, and kite surfing, as there is also access to the beach from a car park at the rear.
You can continue through the railway tunnels to the unusual lava rock formations at Wiseman's Bridge where there are also great views.
Amenities local to the main beach include toilets with disabled access, cafes, ice cream parlours, pubs, restaurants, and first aid post.
