Attraction Information
Offering modern facilities and a friendly welcome to try Bouldering, Top Rope Climbing and Lead Climbing, there's basically no excuse to stay on the ground!
The family bouldering wall is 4.5m high and surrounded by crash landing mats to minimize injury, with circuit style bouldering techniques taught and grades from UK 3c up to UK 7a, with circuits changed every couple of months
The awesome main wall offers 20 top roped climbs with 6 to 9m peaks, and ranging from simple slabs to 35 degree overhangs! They describe this as a safe contained option for a lively child and it's true: lashed up safely there's only one direction to put that energy into and it's up!
The Centre has a spectator area and a café overlooking the climbing which is open all day while the wall is, offering fresh refreshments to climbers, their friends and their family. There are also changing rooms, toilets and showers available so you can fit it in midday without having to leave all sweaty and rumpled. Excellent!
Lead Climbing is for the competent and experienced only, but there's plenty of scope for progression in this area if older kids take to their new hobby well!
