Families looking for the ultimate farming day out with the kids this Easter break should look no further than CountryTastic, in association with Malvern St James, a family-friendly one-day event on Thursday 17 April at Three Counties Showground, Malvern.
Jam packed with interactive play experiences and adorable farmyard animals to meet and greet, CountryTastic lets kids aged 3-11 years old explore nature and discover the magic of farming.
Kids and their parents can expect to experience the wonders of the British countryside through a variety of animal, food and science-based interactive features included in the ticket price of £11 per adult, £6 per 3–15-year-old. The event is free for under 3s.
Fans of farming can enjoy a packed programme of demonstrations in the Muddy Boots Theatre, where JLS-star-turned-farmer and Strictly sensation JB Gill, TV personality and farmer Ally Hunter-Blair and Peter Rabbit will be entertaining younger visitors throughout the day. Little ones can join Chris Collins, former Blue Peter gardener, in making a mini allotment with micro-greens and other exciting green-fingered workshops for kids.
Animal lovers will be impressed with the number of farmyard friends on show in the livestock ring, alongside unmissable features like the amazing ‘dancing sheep’ who take centre stage at the heart-warming live comedy The Sheep Show.
Children can get hands on at the Play Farm Shop, supported by Clive’s Fruit Farm, a must-visit destination to learn about fruit and vegetables in a fun and interactive setting. Little ones can enjoy free play or use a shopping list to collect and weigh items using kid-sized shopping baskets and wheelbarrows.
Arts and crafts will be on offer throughout the event for children to let their creativity bloom and take something home after trying their hand at skills such as spinning and weaving, pottery, seed-planting and cheese making with Croome Cuisine.
Families with young tractor enthusiasts can also experience the thrill of tractor and trailer rides, and see a large range of vintage and modern farm machinery on display.
