The stunning sandy Fistral Beach is a slice of coastal heaven. With the backdrop of Newquay town just ten minutes walk away and a haven of relaxed bars and restaurants where you can enjoy food or drink overlooking the surfers in the swell it’ll be hard to tear yourself away.
Newquay family days out will be bustling with life and adventure in the summer! You could try a surf lesson or go for a walk along the beach. Its quieter neighbour, Lusty Glaze, has all the beauty with less competition for space and a rustic, scenic café that serves seasonal beverages all year round.
The town itself has a multitude of surf shops, so you can dress like a surfer even if you’ve never stood on a board! Wildlife lovers are catered for at Newquay Zoo with over 130 species, or stick to the water at the Blue Reef Aquarium where you can walk through an ocean tunnel filled with tropical sharks, colourful fish and much more.
Just three miles outside of the town is Holywell Bay Fun Park where children can drive an F1 go-kart, ride the battle or bumper boats, get lost in the maze and have a game of crazy golf.
If the weather isn’t on your side try Jungle Jacks, a large indoor play area, or wrap yourself up nice and warm for a walk along the blustery beach, guaranteed to blow the cobwebs away.
