10 Free Things To Do At Halloween

Carving Fruit

You’ve all heard of pumpkin carving, but did you know you don’t HAVE to stick to carving pumpkins? It may be a Halloween tradition, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make your own. Or maybe you don’t have time to go out and get yourself a big round pumpkin… No worries, you can still get into the spooky spirit.

How?

By carving any fruit you have! Pineapples work very well, but you can use any fruit that has a hard surface.

Play Halloween Games

It’s game time! Halloween is the perfect time for families to enjoy some fun and spooky games together – and the best part is, many of them are completely free!

One favourite is the classic “Mummy Wrap”, where kids compete to wrap each other in toilet paper, turning into mummies as quickly as possible. Another simple game is “Pumpkin Bowling” – line up some plastic cups decorated like ghosts and use a small pumpkin to knock them over. For a spooky twist on hide-and-seek, try “Ghost Hunt”, where the kids search the house or garden for paper ghosts hidden by parents.

You could even dress up and go on a monster hunt through a spooky woodland with a Halloween-themed bingo (obviously with parent supervision!). With just a little imagination, you can create endless Halloween fun without spending a penny!

Looking for some inspiration? We’ve rounded up a list of 10 great Halloween-themed activities and games for you to try at home!
