Monster House

Three curious teenagers discover that their neighbour’s house is more sinister than they’ve ever realised… It’s actually a monster that hates children. They then set on a mission to discover its heart and kill it.

The Black Cauldron

Coraline

It may not be your typical Halloween choice…but it is on the list of scary movies! A horror, dark fantasy movie that follows Coraline in her new house. She finds a suspicious small door in a room that leads to a world where everything is perfect. Or so it seems…with her ‘Other Mother’ at the hands of all this trickery, will Coraline be safe?

Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride

Starring: Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, and Richard E. Grant

Set in the bleak Victorian era, a shy young man called Victor finds himself engaged to a deceased woman and becomes trapped in the underworld in which she lives. But there’s just one issue, he’s not dead! While Emily (the corpse bride) falls deeply in love, Victor is trying to do everything he can to get back to his fiance in the living world. This vibrant and quirky story explores dead pets, accidental marriages and peculiar characters like the maggot that lives behind Emily’s eye. But essentially, this film is all about “if you love someone, let them go” and this will eventually set you free.

This film is 13+ as it explores death, decay, and murder.

Frankenweenie

Victor devastated when his dog companion Sparky dies from being hit by a car, decides to bring him back to life. But things don’t go to plan when his dog now looks like a monster and terrifies everyone. Another classic Tim Burton original that is definitely on my list of family Halloween movies!

Hotel Transylvania

Join Dracula as he runs a high-end resort for monsters like Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, mummies, werewolves, zombies and more. With NO HUMANS allowed! So, what happens when a human called Johnny enters the hotel? Will Dracula be able to protect his hotel from the threat of humans and prevent his daughter Mavis from falling for Johnny?

The Addams Family (2019)

The puppet dolls were enough for me to switch the film over…but hey, you guys might like it!
