Alton Towers Parking
Here’s our guide to parking – whether it’s where to find a parking space, whether you can purchase express parking or whether there’s disabled parking! You can’t have a fantastic theme park without ample car parking!
Psst… you can also find out all about Alton Towers opening times and grab your Alton Towers tickets from our website!
Standard Parking
For those who aren’t purchasing express parking, a parking ticket is £10.00 for theme park guests.
Those who are Gold, Platinum and Premium Merlin Passholders can access free Standard car parking! Which is super helpful for those wanting to save a little. You don’t need to pre-book either, just scan your Gold, Platinum and Premium Merlin annual pass at the exit barriers.
When driving into the standard car park, make sure to look out for the team members who will direct you to either the grass or tarmac car parks.
Please note: the Standard Parking is around a 15-25 minute walk from the Alton Towers Theme Park entrance!
Also, you’ll need to have a valid parking ticket to leave the theme park as there are barriers at the exits.
Express Parking
Those who have pre-booked express booking, your parking charge will be £20.00 – tickets must be booked in advance online.
Again, if you are Gold, Platinum and Premium Merlin annual pass holders, you can purchase an official on-site car park ticket for £10.00. This must be booked in advance online!
For CBeebies Land Hotel guests, your express parking tickets are free, but you’ll need to be able to show your hotel confirmation.
The Express Parking car park is around 1-3 minute walk away from the park gates. So, you won’t have to walk too much from this convenient parking space!
Blue Badge Parking
For theme park guests who have a Blue Badge, their car parking changes will be at £10.00.
Although, if you have a Gold, Platinum or Premium Merlin Pass you won’t be charged for parking. But a Blue Badge will need to be presented in order to park at no charge. It must be valid and with the badge holder in the car, as well as only one car being permitted to park on the Blue Badge parking space.
However, parking spots will be subject to first come first served. As there are limited spaces.
Coach Parking
For those travelling in coaches, eg school trips, you’ll find the coach parking off the main resort access road. It’s directly adjacent to the entrance plaza!
