Venue type: Outdoor, Indoor
Chester Zoo is a world-class hub for wild and wonderful animals. With over 21,000 endangered and exotic creatures, 500 species and 125 acres of islands and habitats, you’re in for a treat.
Firm favourites are the orangutans and Sumatran tigers, but exploration is the name of the game here! You could visit the plains of Africa and see the famous painted dogs. Maybe you’d prefer to head to Indonesia and explore the rainforest? Or perhaps journey to the coral sands of Panay for the Visayan warty pigs. The whole world is your oyster with a wide variety of simulated ecosystems.
The zoo is a registered conservation charity and you can help support their mission by getting involved. There are daily talks, hands-on experiences and regular animal arrivals; take a lazy boat trip, hitch a monorail ride or scamper along the skipping lane! There’s even a junior rangers training camp where you can team up with the zoo rangers and learn all about animal protection and care. You’re in for a jam-packed day of F.U.N, so it’s advised that you plan in advance.

I would recommend visiting Chester Zoo even if you have been before like me the animals change and there is always plenty to see l. I for one will be back since our visit they have had some baby rhinos and I know our daughter would like to see them so maybe next year we will go back for a visit. We know our daughter had such a good time because she actually cried when she had to leave I think this is a sign we might have to visit again
Lovely day out with the kids, if you can afford it..

Great day with the kids, can't go wrong with all those animals to see, though it can get busy and you won't see it all in one trip.. Lots of walking involved.. But it cost over £70 for myself and 2 kids, and I wasn't really given the choice about whether or not I wanted to add the "conservation" amount onto the price in, so just agreed to "are you ok with that?", (as we Brits do of course, not wanting to seem tightfisted..).. And bring a picnic, unless you don't mind paying out for food at prices to be expected..
